$59.99
The Rainbow Bubble Tip Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor) is a popular, colorful marine animal known for its striking mix of green, orange, pink, red, and yellow hues.
Care Requirements
Lighting: Medium to high light, around 150–350 PAR, to support their photosynthetic algae.
Water Flow: Moderate and indirect water movement.
Water Parameters:
- Salinity: 1.025–1.026
- Temperature: 75–78°F
- pH: 8.1–8.4
- Alkalinity: 8–9.5 dKH
Behavior and Tank Placement
Wandering: They use a muscular foot to attach to rock crevices and can move around the tank if unhappy with the light or flow.
Pump Safety: Cover all powerhead intakes and drains with guards, as moving anemones can easily get shredded in unprotected pumps.
Clownfish Host: They make great hosts for many species of clownfish, which live safely in their stinging tentacles.
Feeding: Feed them meaty frozen foods like shrimp, fish, or specialized pellets once or twice a week, though they get most energy from light.
Propagation: They can split in half on their own (longitudinal fission) to create identical clones.
