Red Hornet Zoanthids are striking, beginner-friendly soft corals featuring bright red or pink centers surrounded by distinct alternating skirt patterns.
Care Requirements
Lighting: Low to moderate (PAR 100–250). Place them lower in the tank and move them up slowly if needed.
Water Flow: Moderate and consistent flow to stop waste and detritus from settling on the colony.
Temperature: 75°F to 80°F (78°F is ideal).
Salinity: 1.024 to 1.026.
Water Parameters: Alkalinity of 8–9.5 dKH, Calcium of 380–450 ppm, and Magnesium of 1250–1350 ppm.
Nutrients: They prefer slightly "dirty" water with nitrates around 5–15 ppm and phosphates under 0.10 ppm.
